Olicem ApS ensures the quality of environmental measurements at Ørsteds Avedøreværket and Asnæsværket

As a power plant operator, it is important to ensure that the environmental impact on the environment is reduced as much as possible. Ørsted has therefore taken the step of replacing its environmental reporting system at both Avedøreværket and Asnæsværket with Olicem’s mCert’s certified environmental monitoring and reporting system ReportLoq. The system ensures that the plants calculate their emissions based on the latest standards in the sector, such as e.g. EN 17255-1:2019 and EN 17255-2:2020.

The system can, in addition to reporting to the environmental authorities, also help the operators of the plants to anticipate environmental violations before they occur. It is a great help in everyday life and a benefit for the environment.

After a successful pilot period at Asnæsværket, where ReportLoq ran a test for 6 months, Ørsted decided to also install the environmental reporting system on Avedøreværket’s combustion lines.

A major reason why the choice fell on ReportLoq was that the system is MCERTS certified and that it is also a cloud based solution. This means that Ørsted gets uniform access to all works via Olicem’s online platform. It saves time and at the same time ensures that the requirements for the plants’ emissions meet the same high standard all the way around.
